Simulation: Rho Fiera Milano - Porto Ceresio

 

 

This simulation reproduces the line that leads from Rho Fiera Milano to Porto Ceresio with all its related branches.

Both passenger traffic, much of which is scheduled, and freight traffic are simulated. The assignments of passenger trains are left to the player.

Some notes on the main stations:

• Rho: a hub station for suburban lines (S5, S6, S11), regional, and long-distance trains with some entrances/exits through the yard serving the "Arkema" company.
• Busto Arsizio: most regional and all suburban trains stop at this station, some of which continue towards the Ferrovienord network. Several freight trains bound for the "Hupac" yard depart and arrive from this facility.
• Gallarate: a branching node for lines towards Arona/Domodossola, Luino, and Varese. Various freight trains bound for the "Ambrogio" and "Hupac" yards depart and arrive from this facility.
• Varese: the terminal station for S5 (Varese-Treviglio) and S40 (Varese-Como) lines. Suburban trains from Switzerland (S50) bound for Malpensa and regio expresses to/from Porto Ceresio transit through this station.
• Porto Ceresio: the terminal for RE trains to/from Milano Porta Garibaldi.

Given the complexity of the scenario and geographic extension, this simulation is intended for an experienced player with a maximum simulation speed of 3x.
